Hello All,
My name is Shannon Skelton and I am so excited to be gearing up for student teaching and begin my career as a science teacher. I received my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from UCLA and a single subject science teaching credential from National University. I love travelling and I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Thailand during college, studying conservation biology. I have a great passion for the outdoors, and I love exercising through soccer, yoga, and hiking. In middle school, science was my least favorite subject and would often find myself in tears over homework assignments... my parents find it ironic that I now strive to be a science teacher. I know that many students walking into my classroom might feel the same way about science, and through real life application and experiments I hope to show all of my students just how exhilarating the wonderful world of science is. Let's build that passion together!
